Speed of execution and continuous learning can coexist
June 5 2026
Moving faster only helps if you’re learning in the right direction; otherwise, speed gets you lost more quickly. The most persistent revenue problems are often not sales issues at all but system-level issues that surface in sales performance.

I often say that sustainable growth is usually less about doing more and more about learning better. People sometimes push back because they want immediate speed, activity, and scale. But in my experience, especially in earlier-stage companies, bad learning at speed helps you get lost faster.
The other view I get pushback on is that revenue problems are often not sales problems. They are systems problems. They come from misalignment between product, positioning, pricing, customer selection, and operating cadence. Sales feels the pain first, so people assume sales is the problem. Often it is just where the truth becomes visible.
